Christen Kay Chapman 

December 10, 1969 - July 20, 2023 

Christen Chapman passed away unexpectedly and was able to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 20, 2023.

Christen was born December 10, 1969 in Austin, TX to Vicki and Scott Chapman. Christen grew up in Northwest Hills and attended Hyde Park Baptist School from 2nd grade through 12th grade. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Education in 1992.

Christen had a deep love and passion for her dogs, Abigail and Maggie, who brought her so much joy. Throughout her life, kindness and compassion spilled into all of her relationships. Anyone who knew Christen knew of her selfless and giving character.

Christen is survived by her parents, Vicki and Scott Chapman; brother, Matt Chapman and his wife, Amy, of Austin; nephew, Jake Chapman and his wife, Austin, of Allen, TX; and niece, Brooke Chapman of Nashville, TN. She also had numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins whom she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held in Smith Family Chapel at Riverbend Church at 2:00 on August 1, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Austin Pets Alive or a charity of your choice.
