Amber Espinosa '99 January 11, 2025 1:03 PM updated: January 11, 2025 1:07 PM

Amber Elaine (Ingraham) Espinosa

July 23, 1977 - November 5, 2024

Amber was born July 23, 1977 in Dallas, Texas. She attended North Garland HS and continued her studies at Texas A&M University, with a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology. A&M was a family affair, as Amber was living with her brother and cousins throughout the 4 years of school. A&M was also the place where Juan and Amber met and decided to marry after graduation.

After graduation, Amber held a position at Nortel for 10 years before deciding to pursue her passion of art and design. She and her mother would later open Red Tile Studio, a nursery art shop on Etsy.

Amber was an avid traveler because of her love of World History and tried to visit places with this in mind. Places like Machu Picchu, Paris, Germany, Switzerland and most recently Iceland. She also had a love for Chihuahuas, she had 3 that were her precious fur babies named Sophie, Milla and Audrey. Those who know her know she loved architecture and was always on the home tour circuit around town for ideas and inspiration. She spent some time getting involved in the Dallas Historical Society and was in the know on all new restaurants and happenings around town. Amber had a green thumb that came naturally, and loved working around her garden as well as helping her parents work and design their own. Her home’s yard was a sight to see that many would stop to photograph. White Rock Lake was a daily walk for Amber that she enjoyed doing with family and friends.

Amber is survived by Juan Pablo Espinosa, her husband of 24 years; Amber’s parents, Darleen and Tim Ingraham, of Dallas, TX; her brother, Matthew (Rosalie) Ingraham of Frisco, TX; and nephew, Noah Wagner; Juan’s parents, Amparo and German Espinosa of Bogota, Columbia; his sister, Maria (Justin) Barkley and niece, Emma of Portland, Oregon; his sister, Natalia (Jeff) Lewallen; and niece and nephew, Iliana and Samuel of Plano, TX.

We celebrate the life and times of our beautiful daughter, sister, wife, and friend Amber. We speak about her in the present tense because she's present in our minds, hearts, and souls every minute of the day. Every time we take a breath; every time it rains; every time someone makes us laugh. She is always in our thoughts, and she is our guiding light in this small planet of ours.

We are not sorry for our loss, but happy for our gain. The gain that comes from knowing her, understanding her, appreciating her. We do not mourn her because there's nothing to mourn; on the contrary, there's plenty to celebrate. She is not survived by anyone because she wouldn't want us to survive. She would want us to live. And live we shall.

Amber, you are loved yesterday, today, now, and forever by your family and friends.

A funeral service for Amber will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, with a graveside service to follow, both located at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225.
