Robert Michael "Mike" Starnes
October 10, 1944 - June 7, 2024
Robert Michael “Mike” Starnes of Pleasanton, California passed away June 7, 2024 at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife, Marti, and two children.
He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1967. He was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1972.
He was employed at Texas Instruments, Intel Corporation, and in 1981 he became a founder and V.P. of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation in San Jose, CA. He retired from Cypress in 2005.
