William D. Moehlman, M.D.

September 22, 1950 - December 10, 2024 

Dr. William D. Moehlman, age 74, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024. He was born September 22, 1950 in Gonzales, Texas to William and Irma Liberty Moehlman. He was a 1968 graduate of Yoakum High School, 1972 graduate of Texas A&M University and a 1976 graduate of UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

After his residency his medical practice was in Fort Worth. In 1994 he moved back to Yoakum to serve the Yoakum community through his family practice until his retirement. He served as one of the administrators for the Kluck Foundation that provides money for many charitable organizations including scholarships to high school students and recently most instrumental in assisting the City with many of the Christmas decorations in downtown Yoakum. He enjoyed playing the piano & organ and was an organist at First Presbyterian Church in Yoakum. He had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for all the plants in his home & yard. Most of all he enjoyed family gatherings and keeping up with all of his nieces and nephews activities.

Survivors: sister, Janet Proschko (Charlie) of Yoakum; brothers, Scott Moehlman (Jessica) of Yoakum and Jim Moehlman (Cathy) of Katy; nieces, Catherine Ward (Brett), Laura Kelley (Jeremy), Beth Hiebert (Nick) and Amanda Dana (Justin); nephews, Christopher Proschko (Brandy) and Andy Moehlman (Molly) along with 12 great nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation 12-3:00 p.m. with funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Pastor Elvis Whaley officiating. Entombment at Yoakum Restland Cemetery Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews: Honorary pallbearers: Garland Weber, Charles Kvinta Jr and Dr. Ralph Wagner. Memorial contributions may be given to Kluck Foundation, P.O. Box 69, Yoakum, TX or donor's choice. Arrangements by Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
