Roman Joseph "Joe" Peisinger, Jr., LTC USA (Ret) 

February 21, 1932 - December 29, 2024 

Roman Joseph “Joe” Peisinger, Jr. passed away December 29, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas due to complications from an earlier stroke. Born in Pasadena, CA February 21, 1932, Joe spent his childhood in California, Hawaii and Washington D.C. Graduating in the Class of 1954 from West Point Military Academy, a month later he married the love of his life, Gretchen Hayford Peisinger. In 1964, Joe attended Texas A&M University, attaining a master’s in engineering. Joe served in the US Army for 22 years, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Corps of Engineers, following this with a 15-year career as an insurance underwriter at USAA.

Joe and Gretchen resided at the Towers Park Lane for 24 years, two of which he served as a member of the Board of Directors. Joe was a devout Catholic and member of the Knights of Columbus. He shared his passion for traveling with his family, touring throughout the US, Europe, and worldwide. The family has many cherished memories of camping and living in various countries at his assigned duty stations.

Joe and Gretchen were blessed with six children. His legacy lives on through six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. All who knew him will miss him deeply, but his spirit will live forever within the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.
