Kathleen Michelle (Millerman) Arthurs 

July 24, 1968 - December 27, 2024 

Kathleen “Michelle” Arthurs, 56, of Katy, TX, passed away peacefully on Friday December 27th, 2024 surrounded by family.

Michelle was born on July 24th, 1968, in Dallas, TX, and grew up in the Greater Houston area where she graduated from Northbrook High School in 1986. Michelle received a bachelor’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University in 1990, where she was also recognized as a distinguished student and dean’s list recipient. She received a master’s degree in education from Houston Baptist University in 1994 and taught in several public and private schools in the Greater Houston area.

Michelle attended Bridgepoint Bible Church (formerly Spring Branch Community Church) where she met her husband, Gary Arthurs, in 1993. She served as a missionary with her husband, starting in 1999 with Campus Crusade for Christ. Most recently, Michelle was a teacher at BridgePoint Early Learning Academy. She enjoyed teaching, history, animals and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle is preceded in death by her mother, Martha “Sharon” Millerman and leaves behind her husband of 29 years, Gary Arthurs, their two daughters Rachel Arthurs of Katy, TX and Rebekah Arthurs of San Antonio, TX, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Michelle was a loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The Arthurs family would like to thank the staff at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital and AccentCare Hospice who took great care of her in her final days.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th, 2025 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079, from 5-8 pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at 9:30am at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, with Celebration of Life Service to follow, January 25th at 11am at BridgePoint Bible Church, 13277 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
