Lyndon Earl Donnell 

December 31, 1939 - February 17, 2025 

Lyndon was born in Smithville, TX to Earl & Louise Donnell on December 31, 1939 & passed his earthly home February 17, 2025 in Mt. Vernon, TX. His wife, Cheri, his son Frank & daughter-in-law Teresa were by his side.

Lyndon grew up in Smithville & graduated in 1958. After high school he attended Texas A&M University and was a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Band. He graduated in the Class of '64 with a degree in Industrial Technology. He loved watching & cheering his Aggie sports teams with great pride.

Upon his retirement from Brown & Root, he moved to Mt. Vernon, TX where he enjoyed fishing & sitting on the porch watching the lake gently roll by.

Lyndon is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cheri, son Frank (Teresa) of Sunrise Beach, TX, step-daughter Michele Morrow (Keith) of Splendora, TX, step-son Mark Reed (Julie) of Highland, IL. Three grandchildren Nathan Morrow, Frank "Buzzy" Donnell & Lexie Tanton & their spouses; three great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren & one great-great-grandchild. Along with many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nephews & nieces. Also sister Gayle Wilhelm (Jerry).

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Fighting Texas Aggie Band, American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.

Services will be held Friday, February 28, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am and Service to celebrate his life will begin at 11:00am at Marrs Jones Funeral Home. The Graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Texas.
