Edward Anton "Ed" Konderla, Sr.
January 29, 1932 - May 1, 2023
Edward Anton Konderla, Sr., 91, of Timpson, Texas, passed away on May 1, 2023, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born on January 29, 1932, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Joseph Rudolph Konderla and Janie Paulin Handlin.
A memorial Catholic Mass will be held at 5:30PM with a Rosary following on May 5, 2023, at St. Therese Catholic Church, Center, Texas.
Edward was born in Dallas, Texas. He proudly served his country through the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Ann Louise Halleck, on September 6, 1952, and the two spent over 58 years together before her passing in 2011. They raised four wonderful children.
Edward graduated from Texas A&M University with an Engineering degree. He went to work in the oil and gas industry and work at various plants throughout the United States for many years. He worked many years for Georgia Gulf in LaPorte, Texas. Edward purchased a farm in Shelby County in 1988. He later retired to the farm in Shelby County. Edward was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He held the high honor of a 4th degree Knight. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the St. Therese Catholic Church in Center Texas.
Edward is survived by his sons: Edward Konderla, Jr. and wife Tresa of Ecuador, Richard Konderla and wife Dottie of Timpson, Texas. Daughter: Marianne McLemore of Beaumont, Texas. Brothers: Bob Konderla and wife Marynell, Joe Konderla. Sisters: Nancy Donaldson and husband David, Anita Hunstable. 11 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Louise Konderla; son, Phillip Michael Konderla; parents, Joseph and Pauline Konderla; and brother, David Konderla.
