Charles Eugene "Chuck" Jenson

August 20, 1960 - February 27, 2025

Charles Eugene Jenson was born August 20, 1960, in Victoria, Texas to parents Myron and Alma (Busch) Jenson. The Lord called him home February 27, 2025.

Chuck grew up in Baytown near so many members of his family. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1978 before attending Texas A&M University, where he graduated in 1982. While at A&M, Chuck was in the Aggie Corps of Cadets A Company and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, in which he played trombone all four years. Being an Aggie was a defining experience in Chuck’s life and one that he carried throughout his life.

After graduating, Chuck moved to the Dallas area. While living there he met his future wife, Karen O’Meara. Chuck had three children with Karen: Morgan, Rebecca, and Rachel. After Karen passed away, Chuck met Louann Cross who he married in 2004. They continued to raise their family for 21 years. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Oliver and Everett, whom he loved dearly.

Chuck was strong in his faith in Jesus and served on various teams at Chase Oaks Church, where he was passionate about serving and leading others and sharing the love of Jesus through his service. Everyone who crossed paths with him commented on how brightly his welcoming spirit enriched their day. Chuck was always willing to offer a helping hand to any who needed it and shared in mentorships and life group leadership roles where he was able to impact many around him.

When he was not spending time with his family or at church, Chuck’s hobbies included golfing, spending time with friends, and watching his Aggies play football. He had a love for science fiction and fantasy in books, movies, and tv shows which he passed down to his children too. Overall, his joy was his family and making sure they felt his love every day of his life.

Chuck is survived by his wife Louann Jenson, children Morgan Jenson and his wife Crystal and Rebecca and Rachel Jenson; grandchildren Oliver and Everett Jenson; brothers Michael Jenson and his wife Judy and Frank Jenson and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options. There will be a funeral service to celebrate Chuck’s life at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Allen Family Funeral Options.
