Charles Randall "Randy" Thomas, Jr. 

February 7, 1952 - February 18, 2025 

Charles Randall “Randy” Thomas, Jr. ‘74 passed away in his home in Jewett, Texas, at the age of 73 on February 18, 2025.

Randy was a 1974 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. He was a member of the Corp of Cadets (Company C-1), and a distinguished Military Graduate. He was commissioned into the U.S. Army and served as an Infantry Officer from 1974 to 1977.

His most meaningful professional undertaking was working as a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Park Ranger at Lake Bardwell in Ennis, Texas. Randy got a real kick out of being paid to hike and spend time outdoors. He then went on to work as an Environmental Specialist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Galveston, Texas.

Randy is survived by his children Seth and Emily, a sister and two brothers including Ned Thomas ‘84, many nieces and nephews, and lots of friends both new and old.
