Phillip Morris "Phil" Gibson 

February 7, 1941 - March 29, 2025 

On March 29, 2025, Phil Gibson passed away at his home in College Station, Texas at the age of 84. Phil was born February 7, 1941 in Pattonville, Texas. He was a proud graduate of Texas A&M University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Ag Economics and a MBA in Computer Science. He was a member of the Corps of Cadets, a Ross Volunteer, and served in the U.S. Air Force.

In Phil’s early career, he was a Certified Life Underwriter, focused on life insurance products and financial and estate planning. He later went on to operate AAA Express Tax Services providing accounting, bookkeeping and payroll services, as well as tax return preparations for over 30 years.

Phil is survived by his two children; Phillip Gibson (Vicki) and Sherri Makrigeorgis; and his 5 grandchildren: Meagan Cunningham (Sam), Lauren Briggs (Josh), Sofia Makrigeorgis, Lydia Makrigeorgis, and Ella Makrigeorgis. Phil was preceded in death by son-in-law Christos Makrigeorgis.

Graveside services will be for immediate family with burial at the Aggie Field of Honor & Memorial Cemetery.
