Aggie Ring Day: Urgent Weather Update

UPDATE: 7:30 a.m., April 5:

After evaluating the weather conditions for today, Aggie Ring Day on Saturday, April 5, will proceed with the 10 a.m. start time 

The express shuttle will begin pick-up at West Campus Garage at 9 a.m. 

If you have a Ring Ticket time slot between 9-10 a.m., you may come at any time between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Ring Ticket times between 10 a.m.-6 p.m. will remain as scheduled. 

Please note that weather conditions throughout the morning may result in additional delays. If dangerous weather conditions present, outdoor activities will be paused and all individuals encouraged to seek shelter. 

We greatly appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the safety of our guests at Aggie Ring Day. 

 


 

UPDATE: 7:45 p.m. April 4:

The start time for Aggie Ring Day on Saturday, April 5, is delayed by one hour due to the high potential for severe weather; it will run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If you have a Ring Ticket time slot between 9-10 a.m., you may come at any time between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The Association of Former Students’ leadership will review updated forecasts and consult with Texas A&M emergency management leadership early Saturday morning to determine whether additional operational adjustments are necessary. Another email update will be distributed by 8 a.m. Saturday, April 5, with the most up-to-date information. Updates will also be posted on The Association’s @AggieNetwork social media accounts and on AggieNetwork.com.

If you have a Ring Ticket time slot at 10 a.m. or later and want to change to a later time slot, please visit tx.ag/RingTicket to see available ticket slots.

Please consider your personal safety when making plans. If you or your party feel you cannot safely travel to Aggie Ring Day, you may instead pick up your Aggie Ring from the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center next week or arrange to have it shipped. No action is needed if you decide to delay your pick-up; you may pick it up between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning Tuesday, April 8. To arrange shipping, please email AggieRing@AggieNetwork.com.

As of Thursday, April 3, there is potential for severe weather impacting Aggie Ring Days on April 4-5, 2025.

The Association of Former Students and Texas A&M's Emergency Management's teams are closely monitoring the weather over the next few days. Aggie Ring Day is a "rain or shine" event, but the health and safety of our guests is always our first priority. If dangerous weather conditions require, Aggie Ring Day may need to be suspended or postponed to ensure the safety of our guests. 

Aggie Ring Day is currently scheduled to proceed as planned. If any weather-related changes occur, updates will be shared on AggieNetwork.com and The Association's @AggieNetwork social media accounts:
