Kevin Andrew Schmidt 

October 22, 1985 - February 25, 2025 

Kevin Andrew Schmidt passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the age of 39, at his home in Dallas, Texas. Kevin was born in New Braunfels, TX on October 22, 1985. Kevin attended Sts. Peter and Paul School and was a graduate of Canyon High School.

He continued his education at Texas A&M University in College Station and received a B.S. in Geography. He worked in the oil and gas industry in both Houston and Dallas.

Kevin was in his natural element on family vacations to the Texas Coast and the Frio River. He also grew up having much fun on the Guadalupe River. He was a musician at heart and enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to music. Kevin loved reading, and Larry McMurtry was one of his favorite authors.

Kevin is survived and deeply missed by his loving family, his parents, Michael and Mary Schmidt; his brothers Kurtiss (Terri), Jonathon (Heather), and his sister Julia Harris (Ryan). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Carolyn, Aidan, Jeanette, August, Ryland, Thomas, and Keegan, who brought him much laughter and joy. Kevin was happy to be a part of a large family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his favorite dog, Dexter.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ira and Adeline Schmidt and Frank and Audrey Weber.

Kevin's services will be at Lux Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2025 with visitation from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, followed by a rosary and prayer service at 7:00 pm. Burial will be Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at Cox Cemetery, 3106 Cox Road, Blanco, TX.
