Published in Victoria Advocate from May 30 to May 31, 2010 HOLLIS O. BAKER YORKTOWN - Hollis Oscar Baker, 81, of Yorktown, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010, in San Antonio. He was born June 8, 1928, in Nopal, to the late William Oscar Baker and Olivia Davis Baker. Hollis graduated from Yorktown High School in 1947 and Class of 1951 from Texas A&M University. He was a salesman with Armour/US Steel and Terra International, and a lifelong rancher. He is survived by his wife, Allen Joyce Baker of Yorktown; daughters, Carla Baker of Houston, Ginger Baker and husband Tom Copeland of Dale, and Dusty Baker of Lockhart; sons, Ralph Stock and wife Debra Stock of San Antonio, Mark Stock and wife Francis Stock of Houston, Lloyd Stock and wife Janet Stock of Yorktown, Todd Stock and wife Sharon Stock of Houston; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Fred. Viewing will be from 12 noon to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 31, 2010, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Finch Funeral Chapel, Yorktown. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at the Finch Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Westside Cemetery.
