Gale 'Noble' Brundrett, Jr. '74, 57, of Kenedy (formerly of Refugio) died Aug. 31, 2009, of injuries received while herding cattle on his ranch. He was still operating South Texas Breeding Service which he had founded in 1981 and managing his herd of more than 100 registered Beefmaster cattle. He had also expanded into both insurance and oil and gas, working as an insurance adjuster and as a registered petroleum landman with Trinity Energy. He was a member of the Maroon Band and of Parsons Mounted Cavalry at Texas A&M. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; a son; a daughter; a stepson, Ari B. Pozos '00; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; his mother; a brother, Thad Brundrett '79; and a sister.
