Roll Call Tribute

Thurman H. "T.H." Johnson '55, 74, of Goldthwaite died Feb. 28, 2008. He flew B-29s in the U.S. Air Force. He was a farmer and a rancher. He also operated facilities in Texas, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina with the help of his wife and a business partner, employing over 750 mentally handicapped men. In 1968, he was named Employer of the Year by the National Association for Retarded Children. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jane Ann; three daughters, including Ruth Ann (Johnson) Bowland '83; five grandchildren; and two step-grandsons.
