Update on Michael "Scott" Cone

Michael "Scott" Cone and his wife, Dru ’80, recently endowed a four-year petroleum engineering scholarship at Texas A&M.  The Cone’s created the scholarship with a $60,000 endowment at the Texas A&M Foundation.  SCOTT is president of Tri-C Resources Inc.  After graduation, he started his career with Texas Oil & Gas, where he advanced from drilling, production engineer to district drilling superintendent. 
He co-founded Tri-C Resources in 1985 with his father, Mike Cone, and geologist John Clinch. 

Scott is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Petroleum Institute.  He is on the board of the Methodist Hospital Research Institute and Zephyr Gas Services.   He currently serves on The 12th Man Foundation Champions Council, and he and his wife are members of The Association of Former Students Century Club. Scott and Dru have a son, Cullen, who is Class of ’12.
