Association of Former Singing Cadets

The Association of Former Singing Cadets

The Texas A&M Singing Cadets, known as the “Voice of Aggieland,” began in 1893 at Texas A&M College as the all male glee club. In 1937, after several different directors and years in limbo, 18 students came together to cement the glee club into A&M history writing a constitution and establishing the student organization that exists to this day. In 1940, the glee club was renamed the Singing Cadets.

The Association of Former Singing Cadets was formed in 1976 as the official formers association for the Texas A&M University Singing Cadets. With over 1,000 former Singing Cadets, The Association of Former Singing Cadets connects former Singing Cadets with each other as well as with the current Singing Cadet organization and stimulates interest in and loyalty to Texas A&M University.

Through the Association of Former Singing Cadets, members from as far back as the Classes from the of 1950s can be connect to the Class of 2014 and come together by their common love for and devotion to Texas A&M University and music.
