The 1879 Society Ambassadors

Our Purpose

The 1879 Society Ambassadors exist to strengthen the Aggie Network among future, current, and former students.

Our History and Mission

Serving The Association of Former Students, Texas A&M University, and the Aggie Network. Founded in 2013, we proudly serve as the student representatives of The Association of Former Students, the oldest organization affiliated with Texas A&M which was established in 1879 with the mission to “promote and maintain fellowship.” Today, almost 150 years later, we strive to carry on and expand this noble purpose as we serve within the Campus Programs department at The Association of Former Students. Our goal is to ensure that every student at Texas A&M knows the Aggie Network starts now and lasts a lifetime.

We achieve our mission by:

ENGAGING and serving the current student body.

EDUCATING the student body about The Association of Former Students’ impact on Texas A&M and Texas Aggies.

ENCOURAGING students to become fully invested members of the worldwide Aggie Network and maintain life-long relationships with Texas A&M and The Association of Former Students.

ELEVATING the Aggie Network by serving and supporting.
