Flores Hall Lecture

Named in recognition of Gina and Bill Flores ’76, this grand hall has floor to ceiling windows on two sides and features the Huddleston Video Wall, Aggies are We, Tribute, and Flexible Exhibits.

Huddleston Video Wall

Anchoring Flores Hall, the massive Huddleston Video Wall, named in honor of Billy Pete Huddleston ’56, is composed of 36 plasma screens to create a thrilling multimedia experience spanning over 26 feet diagonally. Weighing in at over 2,000 lbs., it is the largest ‘grid’ screen of its kind in the world according to the manufacturer. In addition to showing live game day feeds from Kyle Field for all home football games, the video wall has the capability to display over 100,000,000 pixels of information in nearly unlimited combinations from its HDTV, DVD and PC inputs.


Aggies are We

A key visual element in Flores Hall is a three-dimensional cylindrical tower extending two stories high. Th e interior of the toweris a solid maroon surface, illuminated from within. Graphically displayed on the cylinder are statements and quotes that reflectthe renowned Aggie Spirit. Th e outer layer is formed by linking dozens of portraits of Aggies, presenting a glowing symbol ofour diverse worldwide Aggie Network.


Tribute

Two touch screen monitors mounted under the mezzanine allow visitors to explore the lives of Aggies who have made an impact onTh e Association, Texas A&M, and our world. Showcased are nine groups of Aggies, ranging from Distinguished Alumni and FlagRank Officers, to past and current Board members and Board Chairs, and also Presidents and CEOs of The Association, EndowedCentury Club members, and past and current Distinguished Achievement award winners. This exhibit also feeds a similar exhibit on AggieNetwork.com


Flexible Exhibits

Flexible displays in Flores Hall reinforce the impact our Aggie Network makes in giving back to Texas A&M through Th e Associationof Former Students. A series of large two-sided graphics showcases Th e Association’s mission through stories and images.


Haynes Ring Plaza

The Haynes Ring Plaza provides a beautiful backdrop to any Flores Hall event.
